Story of the car:
The Jaguar Lightweight E-Type is a rare, race-bred version of the iconic E-Type, originally produced in 1963 to compete against rivals like Ferrari. With only 12 built from the planned 18-car run, the Lightweight featured an aluminum monocoque and body panels, significantly reducing weight over the standard model. Powered by a high-performance 3.8-liter inline-six engine with aluminum components and dry-sump lubrication, it was designed for endurance racing and saw success at events like Sebring and Le Mans. In 2014, Jaguar completed the remaining six cars to original specifications, solidifying the Lightweight E-Type as one of the most revered collector Jaguars ever built.
