Aston Martin Vantage GTE Le Mans Pro 2018 Sorensen/Thiim/Turner #95 (81808) in 1/18 Scale model by AUTOart
Story of the car:
The 2018 Aston Martin Vantage GTE #95, driven by Marco Sørensen, Nicki Thiim, and Darren Turner, marked Aston Martin Racing's debut with the new-generation Vantage GTE at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Nicknamed the "Dane Train" due to its predominantly Danish driver lineup, the car showcased a front mid-mounted 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, developed in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG, delivering competitive performance in the LMGTE Pro class.
Despite being only its second competitive outing, the #95 Vantage GTE completed the grueling race, securing a top-ten finish in its class—a commendable achievement for a newly developed race car. The vehicle's design featured a bonded aluminum chassis with carbon fiber panels, advanced aerodynamics, and a 6-speed sequential manual gearbox, all contributing to its endurance racing capabilities
