1970 Dodge Super Bee Street Fighter - Mutant Bee (G1803126) Green in 1/18 scale by GMP (New)
Story of the car:
The 1970 Dodge Super Bee Street Fighter, also known as the "Mutant Bee," is a heavily customized muscle car that combines vintage American muscle with modern performance enhancements. This restomod takes the classic 1970 Super Bee, known for its bold design and powerful engine options, and transforms it into a street-ready powerhouse. The "Mutant Bee" features extensive modifications, including a high-performance engine, upgraded suspension, and modernized interior, while retaining the aggressive styling that made the original Super Bee iconic. The exterior often showcases custom paintwork, unique badging, and a more aggressive stance, reflecting its "Mutant" moniker. This build is a tribute to the raw power and rebellious spirit of the muscle car era, reimagined for contemporary performance enthusiasts.
In 2007, this car was unveiled at SEMA, and drew a crowd every time the key went to the run position. "It's just something about the X-pipe Boom Tube exhaust and the individual throttle bodies that give it a wild sound," Ben Grasso says. "This car started with a dream that the ugly duckling of Mopars could become something spectacular," "I wanted to build a car like Dodge would have if the consideration of mass production and government interjection didn't exist, and I think I've achieved that," Ben says proudly.
